Are only backlinks of home page are important?

If we only build backlinks of our site's homepage, then will it be enough? e.g. "www dot example dot com",Or would we have to build backlinks for internal pages as well. e.g. "www dot example dot com slash cars". Plz suggest.

its better to optimize your main page for your main keyword and inner pages for seceondary keywords.

 

First target is to optimize the home page. Then you can do it for inner pages also.

 

Would that mean that inner pages keyords should be different or at least partially different?
In other words, metatag keyword, would I benefit from changing each page and maybe reduce the keyword each page, or would google count the total and not consider each page separately.
And here is the question, is sitemap useful in this case (giving higher percentage to inner pages)

 

You want to have links to your internal pages as well as to your homepage. If you only have links to your homepage then Google may think your internal pages are not very important.

 

You should work on the optimization of all your pages with partially different keywords. Give priority to each page and do off page seo accordingly.

 

I prioritize the home page and two other "main" pages on my site in the securing of backlinks. But I also try to get links to every inner page, this way:

1) Through internal linking (from page to page within the website), and...

2) Through various external sources (directories, social media, etc.), I get links to as many inner pages as possible.
