Hi, I am doing blog commenting on daily basis..which is manually. But most of the links are no follow..I just wanted to know..are no follow links of no use at all or it can help in SEO?
as for my info nofollow links are no good for seo as the name says (NO) ie the search engines will not add this page !
No follow links have very very little effect on ranking,,but they can drive the trffics and your link building will look natural because of them
yes, making SEO natural is also important... can some one have any info where I can find only do follow blogs or so..some software which can help me to get only dofollow blog links?
They only drive traffic and visitor to your site and this will effect on the Alexa rank. But these kind of links do not have any effect on the Google page rank.
Blog comments are not that great in the scheme of SEO. It is a common debate in the SEO world if no follows carry weight or not. I think its still ok to use them.
I know many of you people think that nofollow is not useful as far as SEO is concerned. Also according to matt cutts ( google official ) says nofollow does not helps in SEO ar far as google is considered. BUT I DON"T AGREE WITH IT. I have checked the results for myself And i can say that they do not have that much affect as the dofollow do but certainly has a little effect on your rankings. Remember that Google Algo is a combination of many things . So when you are getting nofollow links as well what you are doing is getting more links based from different Ip's. As well creating a natural look of your Backlinks portfolio. Number of links pointing to a page also increases, getting a nofollow link also from trusted site like Wikipidea helps cos they are trusted sites. Also Remember Google has huge secrets as far as Google's Serp Algo is concerned. And never believe what Matt Cutts always speak.
It depends on your question - NO GOOD for what? If it is for: SEO - No, nofollow links does not help you in anyway for SEO. Only dofollow link will help you rank higher for your targeted keywords and will help you increase page rank too. Traffic - Yes, nofollow links will still draw traffic, most importantly targeted traffic. Comment section is the most interactive zone in blogs and if you can provide quality comment, you may attract the visitors on that particular page to visit you site too.
NoFollow links are also helpful to improve your ranking. But at the same time, according to Google's guidelines, NoFollow links can't pass any PageRank indeed.
I personally believe that nofollow links are helpful for your rankings in the search engines. I've ranked really good with almost only nofollow blog comments. You choose what you want to believe. I've chosen to believe that nofollow links actually do help you. Stop having that kind of attitude, just keep on blog commenting on relevant blogs - whether they're nofollow or not - and you'll see your rankings rise.
"No follow" links are one of the misunderstood SEO concepts. In reality they DO help. Every link to your site counts. You won't go wrong if you'll keep building them. Plus traffic of course. Its a myth that nofollow links don't work for SEO purposes. They really do.
If you have a choice - which you do - go with "do-follow" only, at least initially. Add "no-follow" for traffic, and to get the word out about your site. Add the Firefox do follow plug in to identify which ones are do follow sites.
I've been trying to tell people that for ages, but none seem to listen. Oh well, I'm not losing something...
