Are .Net's Worth It?

    Hey,

I've been searching Google, and here a bit trying to find a topic or answer for this, and haven't been.

I hope some people can give me their thoughts and experience on this question.

Is it worth it to buy .net domains? If you think you see a decent one, and the .com, info, maybe .org equivalent is taken, is that mean the .net is a decent buy?

I also mean for direct traffic for the domain, for people that would just type it in. Do people type in the .net equivalent alot if the .com is taken?

    Thanks.

For type ins, I know I never type in the .net version, I always just do .com. I'm sure a lot of others do that also.

Yes, but it depends on the name... You should learn by yourself whatnames could be valuable.

It does not mean anything automatically. It again depends on the name.

Not necessarily. But if the .com domain name gets lots of traffic then it is possible.

That .com, .info or whatever is taken does not mean anything automatically.
The value depends on the name and/or on the traffic of eventually established .com site.
