Are name.com and name.net different?

    Hello,

    i am going to backorder a domain that is listed at name.com.
    but when i checked the who.is,it shows that the domain is regged at name.net.

    can i still register it at name.com?

    Name.net? Thats the first time i've opened that, right now :p

    I dont think they r same, bcz name.net has a poorly designed logo, which name.com will never have :p

    Well Name.com and Name.net have the same owner. Also they have the same Alexa rank. Shows those 2 are related. Even their registration date is just 1 month in difference but Name.com is regged at Name.com will Name.net is registered to Domainsite which is related to Name.com. See their details -name.com and name.net

    Yeah,you can register at any icann certified domain registrar.
