Are myspace links worth my time?

Aside from my web design site i have a blog which am trying to promote to gain some small revenue from adsense ads. I'v set up a myspace and embarked upon a mission to add as many relevant profiles as possible, and without being too bullish promoting the blog through it. This isn't just for traffic, i'm wondering what the significance of links on other peoples profiles (ie. comments, blog comments etc) will have back to the blog itself. Will it provide any useful backlinks? Many thanks

 

Sure. Some profiles are PR5 and 6. + many get lots of traffic. I had my proxy site listed on one kids myspace and I received about 100 unqies daily. Get 10 profiles and you got 1000.

But do not spam it too much they may ban your profile

 

What would you say is too much spam? I'm thinking of maybe posting a bulletin a day, posting comments to all of the people on my friend list every 2-3 weeks.

This is not good for either. You will recieve junk trafic and no seo.
Why waste your time posting comments and adding friends on myspace when you could research yourself in an interesting domain and write some valuable content?

 

Easily said, it is however hard to get the search engines to find the content as i'm finding!

Although I believe it to be the most spammy, crappy, bloated piece of nonsense on these Internets, apparently MySpace really DOES offer some juice to those who are willing to take advantage of it. I admit it's something I've not really looked into - I can barely stand going over there.

Please conduct some experiments and let us know your results.

A hug traffic definitely is on My space. Try to post your classifieds on that site. But back links i DON'T THINK SO.

Links from MySpace are good way to improve traffic to your site. Specially if your myspace profile has good page rank and continuous visitors.

After all, you have nothing to loose to try this method

 

I got a lot of traffic from myspace sites. Also have build some PR with that links.

 

I just started a myspace page for my brand new ebusiness as well (Lincoln Busts and Plaques).

Hope it provides us some traffic.
