I get around 1800 uniques per day.

For a game website, it's fine. Usually eCPM sucks for game sites, and so do earnings. I'd suggest you either make a whole mess more of them, or just go into another niche for higher earnings.

Well you have got pretty good pageviews.....
as for the clicks.. its low... i suggest work on your ad placements... i mean place it in between the text matter.. cause that will increase your CTR and will ultimately lead to higher earnings...

Hey there..i suggest you loose the image ads by Google, because they basically suck. use text ads only. Try this for a few weeks, I bet you will earn more..

Imagine; you have 98000+ pageviews, and consider 1,5% is the average CTR, you would have scored around 1470 clicks. Let say you get $0,15 for each click, in total your possible revenue could be $220..in that way you will do 500% better ..give it a try! Don't use the image-ads..

What's wrong with image ads?

 

That's pretty good, actually. But where are the ads? I couldn't find them at first glance.

 

Nothing wrong with image ads. But I usually choose the option of "text and image" ads for my pages.

The advantage of text ads is more choices. Take a 160x600 text ad, for example, you will display up to 6 ads in the space giving your visitor more choice to click on.

If you want to keep the image ad on the right side, I suggest you place some text ads horizontally either at the top or between sections or both.

You can also ad link ads, too.

 

Low CTR, Less pay per click, breaks all the blending with content and they occupy whole ad block.

 

For 1800 unique visitors per day, $40 a day is great.

EDIT : Opps I thought that was your daily earnings. If you only made $40 for September and you have 1.8k visitors a day and close to 100,000 impressions then something is really wrong. You should easily be able to make $10 daily with those statistics.

Image ads don't work because:

I tried it for a while too. I placed the ads on my site and after a couple of weeks CTR (amounts of clicks) rise. I thought wow; this is great, than I looked at the payout for the ads, trust me I wasn’t very pleased. My average click earnings for text ads are around $0.38 a click, with image-ads it is barely $0.01..pretty clear why i use text ads only..

@ danthorpe2002: I like your new text ads on your site; blinds in nicely..allso put text ads on your subpages. Remember that your visitors come in to play a game, so I think not many people will click on the ads on your homepage.

The Google TOS have been updated a while ago!

Your ads are not well optimized, bad positionning and bas colour scheme, maybe you should try what google suggested:

Your pageviews are nice but your earnings are very less. I think try to optimise your site according to succesful positioning of google adsense
