Common sence... Compare your sites with the competition, if you are doing things better but still ranking low, it's because you are probably in the sandbox.

Compare: indexed pages, incoming links, etc...

Remember that new sites will be sandboxed for 3-12 months depending on your market's competition.;)

There is little to no competition on the keywords those sites target so how come they rank so low?

you might want to start by editing the permalink structer and get all the dates numbers and extra crap out of there .. .

I don't think any of these are in sandbox or so. Seems to have very less inbound links and limited content on sites. build more links and add more content!

You dont have much competition on keywords so i think you have to start adding more links and contents to your site...:)

If you're concerned about Google not properly indexing your site, why not setup a sitemap and sign up for Google's Webmaster tools?

That seemed to up my PR right away for a site that was 9 months old.

I think this is not right thing to do just in case the sites are in sandbox.. you have to do something to get them out of the sandbox...:) If the SandBox really exist, coz there are experts that says it is just a myth...:)

you need to focus on a specific niche or section. A noobs guide is not a keyword anyone will type in. And the same thing as EliteHackersPro.

You need to figure out what you are offering your visitors and use the words they use.

Checkout google kw tool and your competitors and start using the right keywords and building backlinks to rank higher in the search engines.

I submitted my sitemap to Google four months ago and it seems that this week my site has been taken outside the sandbox. Suddenly the site appears in the results of 'high-frequency' keywords (and not only 'low-frequency' keywords).

In order to achieve this you must add good backlinks everyday. Use Google webmaster tools to follow the status of your site. You should see all parameters growing (number of crawled pages, number of links, ...) before Google will decide to take you out of the sandbox.

    Cheers,
    Sty

Sandbox is not myth. Im very shocked to learn that my blog from 100 to 200 visitors per hour is just now receive about 10 visitors an hour! I check my ranking for primary keywords and they are all dropped in ranking!

This is sooo weird cuz yesterday they are all just like normal. I feel very sad about this and wondering how to get to where it used to be, like yesterday?

Um, sorry to burst your bubble but Google just redid the PR algorithm and many sites dropped their PR and their traffic, depending on the source. It happened on 10/31-ish.

    Still not the sandbox.
