Are my goals realistic?

Well, as I am a student, I can't put down all of my time into online affiliation. I have calculated some on how much time I can spend.

For the next three weeks, I'm able to spend at least eight hours a day (probably more, because learning this a true joy), seven days a week on building my business and learning as much as possible. After this period I'm able to work about and hour a day to keep my business going.

I do know Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator and many other applications quite well, as well as I can code in html. I have already done a few webpages (for fun) before, and have designed a couple of booklets as well.

My present goal is to have an extra income together with my allowance. So I'm asking you, are these goals realistic? Of course I understand that there is a risk of not succeeding, but I want to have a realistic picture of how much work that's really required to have this kind of business running.

As I mentioned before, already have some knowledge and access of most of the needed applications.

    Appreciate your answer :)

With that much setup time you should be able to set up something good... Good Luck!

That's not a realistic goal. You may have the perfect business after 3 weeks, but if your plan is only to maintain it one hour a week then it will never grow and frustrate you further.

You need to be more realistic about growing in your possible business.

You misread what I wrote. I wrote one hour a day, not one hour a week ;)

If you are good with designing, I would suggest building a website design business, list your designs for sale and then build a few design every day or two to add to the inventory you have on your website. If you're a good designer, you should have a good sales percentage.

If you're good with Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc, you may want to check out the contests here at Digital Point. I just took a look at some of the threads there, and there are a lot of prizes in differing price ranges. I don't know if a person can make a logo, banner etc in one hour though, because frankly, I have limited talent in that area.

It's definitely realistic - I would say at least half the member on this forum are students who have online businesses

Just do it! You wouldn't know whether it is realistic or not if you don't try!
