Are my ads showing?

I've created two ads, and they got approved earlier today.

Both ads are inline text links but if I click on "text link orders" It says "you don't currently have any static text link ads created (or enabled). You can create ads by visiting this page."?

If I click on "ads" I can see both are enabled, but credit has not come down at all, so wondering If i have done everything correctly?

There is also no data to report, is that done in real time or updated daily?

Maybe I'm being too impatient :D

Everything is done in realtime, so you should see click reports the instant someone clicks. Text Link Orders are only for sites that sell text links.

If you aren't getting any clicks, you may want to double check your keywords... are you the highest bidder for the keywords? Are your keywords common phrases in posts or things that are more obscure?

    Shawn,

Looking within the ads themselves, most of the keywords say "Chance of your ad being used on a click: 75% (highest possible)" so I assume that side of it is not a problem?

That's in one ad anyway ^^ Seems the other one says 0-15% for most keywords so I understand why that one is not showing now.

For the one that is showing 75% chance, what are the keywords themselves? Are they obscure things, multi-word phrases, or?

There are no "impressions" for inline keyword ads since it just links a keyword, but it doesn't necessarily know which ad it would route to until after someone clicks it.

As you can see in the post you just made, someone is bidding on shorter keywords ("money" for example). Since each post is limited to 1 inline keyword ad, you would indirectly be competing with shorter versions of your phrases for placement (not cost, just placement)... since obviously you can't have a post that contains "earn money online" within it, but not also having just "money".

That does make sense I suppose. But if my keywords show 75% etc... Is there anything else I can do to make my ads have more chance of appearing over someone's one word ad?

I.e. if a post was made with the phrase "make money online" do the bidders going for "money" automatically win over longer tail keywords such as mine?

It's not a 75% to show, it's a 75% chance to be routed to your URL when someone clicks an ad with your keyword phrase linked.

Bidder's don't automatically win simply because it's short tail. I have no idea what the *actual* bid is for "money" (or any other keyword really), but it might be worthwhile adding the keyword temporarily just so you can check what the bids on it is ranging.

If I add the keyword, or any keywords, I only ever see % of being routed to URL. Is there anyway I can see what people are actually bidding?

No, there isn't a way to see exact bids.

So how do I see what the bids are ranging as you advised? lol

Am I guessing I do it purely off...

    1. enter keyword
    2. raise max cpc
    3. wait until % is high enough so I think it will display (i.e. 75+) to know thats what I need to bid?
