I always wondered whether Yahoo really has 25% of the search market or whether most people are just using them as their secondary search engine. Basically, if they can't find what they're looking for in Google then they'll try searching for it in Yahoo. If this is true then this basically means that most people that use Yahoo really aren't loyal to their brand.
I have yahoo as my homepage and I use yahoo to search first. So I am one of the few yahoo loyal users.
yahoo search is not as bad. I have used some of the yahoo features like yahoo maps and yahoo directory for some searches and It really Worked Fine
lots of people just don't understand what is a computer! why should they care about a search engine! or why google its better! they just use yahoo but they know yahoo! its like windows people use windows not because its better just because they know how to use!
I think only people from certain country are using yahoo such as japan and china. Others country mostly use google
People regularly are using the three search engines of Google, Yahoo and MSN. It is the matter of ratios and percents of the search sessions. For instance, people first go to Google to find the information and then for having more insight will take a look at Yahoo and if they still have not found what they are in search of will finally take a look at Bing.
I use Yahoo Mail and have Yahoo as my homepage. I perfer Bing or Google for searches, with Yahoo search last.
Once in a while I use Yahoo if I've queried Google too many times, and they toss up a message saying my queries appear to be spam and that I am banned from searching for a couple hours.
I use Google as my search engine, even if sometimes I can't find it, I will try other keywords just to find it in Google, So I may say that I am really loyal to Google. ( I use yahoo for mails and IM)
People have different tastes and liking and so it should not be any surprise if some people have become habituated to using only Yahoo, just as the majority are with Google. I do not think that people would be switching over to using Yahoo from google...though reverse might be very true! Regards, RightMan
