I see lots of LLL of .mobi, .me, . co readily available to reg. I see many nice keywords of these extensions which no one wants to touch to 100 foot pole So what is the story with these 3 extensions?? These extensions seem like poison that many do not want to be caught holding them
I heard of similar story: single and double character domain names in .ORG, .ASIA will come available for bid. IMO, that whether the webiste will rank well or not in GG will mainly rely on the website content, backlinks, domain age, PR etc, the domain extension might be not the only decisive factor.
I have been able to sell these three extensions, actually. This year, I sold russian4.me for $100, finnish.mobi for $150, and many others. For .co, it is harder to sell, but there are still buyers out there. You may want to see the thread below. http://www.namepros.com/573976-co-official-discussion-showcase-sales-report-374.html See especially ocho.co.
They're not that much harder to rank than anything else, they're just not that widely known and thus might look quite suspicious to end users. The extension itself has really nothing to do with how easy or hard any domain is to rank.
.mobi is good for mobiles. Such websites are mostly opening fine in mobiles. .co is good if .com is not available. .me can be registered if website is very personal
These all are tdl , so obviously there are good , now all things goes around your website theme like for mobile website .mobi domain extension is good , .me is for creating personal website
These 3 were still in the process to become more popular. When .co was announced it was expected to be valuable in 3-5 years and it's been 3 and half years and still have very little value. Most of lll.co are not worth more than $20- $30.
