Are meta-tags now worthless?

    I have no meta-tags or a meta-description on my site and ranks very well on google but am in dead in both yahoo and msn. I'm going to add meta info in the next few days, so I can let everyone know if it changes my rank for those engines.

    I personally still go for keywords. For the amount of time it takes to add them (provided you don't have to do it retrospectively) I don't see a downside. And there's no question that description is crucial.
