    I think it is worth it if you know what name is right for you.

    I just got shamed.me a few days back and I have already received an offer for it.

    Some are worth buying.

    Thanks Brian

    I think all good .me domains are bought already. But at the same time I don't see good perspectives of this domain zone.

    Unless you can pick up the top of the top keywords for reg fee or a great domain hack, personally, I wouldn't waste my money with this extention.

    tons of words are still available but i would say those keyword lists of high paying domains are gone. i have a long list that includes 3 premium .COM equivilants that are avaialble in .ME extensions. these are 1 word domains. i just need to wait 'till payday this coming week. ;)

    Few decent names are still available. If the registration price wasn't so much, i'd have registered a few.

    Personally, I see .me as a trend and not having the buying power as com/net ...HOWEVER, I DO foresee .me as being a way to trade for a decent .com ...I have thought about doing this, but indeed the registration price is a little too high for my liking. Whatever you do, stay away from misspelled words... to me that's poor quality in dn value. The only cirucmstance I'd buy a misspelled dn is if you could get creative with it, as well you would need to market it extensively.

    If only we had a time machine to see how much they will be worth a year or two from now. Oh well, for $40 you may make hundreds. I think it is worth the risk, but only time will tell.

    yes certainly worth the risk and it also depends on what the intentions are. Buying to develop poses less risk

    You have to speculate to accumulate...

    If you want to create a brand from your website, e.g. insure.me, then the .me extension is perfect and has huge potential - there is very little substitute. However, if you just want to register a domain consisting of 1 or 2 keywords and generate traffic through search engines by SEOing the crap out of it and making a couple of dollars per month through adsense, then it makes no difference what domain extension you use so get a cheaper one like .info

    @gingerbread: good point, that actually has encouraged me to buy some .me's/.info's ...for I have gotten advice throughout DP forums and the community overall says that while they are definitely no where near com/net right, I think they WILL have potential within the near future.

    @Gwebmaster: gives.me ...nice one, sounds like a winner :)
