are .me domain names worth while for use in the United States?

    Has anyone had success using .me Domains in USA? I have been looking and do not see any listed high in Google searches.

    I got one for our billing site. I don't think it's ranked at all, but then again I never tried.

    I do not think SE gives any lesser preference to .me names. As regards not being able to see them higher in serps... it could be simply because they are very sparingly used and probably do not command a significant commercial value!
