Are many similar keywords good or bad?

Is it good or bad to repeat keywords in many different forms on the same page in meta keywords? For example, on a page selling used display stands could I have the keywords:

"used display stands, used display stand, used magazine racks, used magazine rack, display rack, magazine stand, used display racks, used magazine stands, lightly used display stands, lightly used magazine racks, etc etc."

Or should I keep it simple by only having each word once or twice? i.e. "used display stands, used magazine racks"

Does it make a difference? Please advise.

you can have whatever words you want in the meta keywords tag as it really doesn't do much anyway, but as far as the content itself goes, you really want to limit the scope of your page to a couple of keywords and focus on those with your content. Each page should have a distinct theme with very targeted keywords. So you can have 1 page about Display Stands, and then another page about Magazine Racks.

keyword tag is dead. Watch for stuffing. Google will penalize for keyword stuffing or anything that looks unnatural..

It is depends on the content of the site. The home page main keyword can be repeated on the inner pages because that keyword is main keyword. Inner pages contents the keywords First what content that page, second other homepage and other related keyword.

As others have said, the meta keywords tag is worthless. What matters is the content.

And when writing the content, I think it's a good idea to use a few minor variations on the basic main keyword or phrase. That's better than repeating the same identical phrase over and over.

Eventhough they say that meta tag is dead but opinion on that is you don't need to worry because that's not the same words. Plural is different from singular and SE gives different value on this.

I say you should still use meta tags if you have the time but in your example above your repeating words too much, no need to repeat used just put in racks too, no need to put in racks and rack.

5-10 keywords in meta, comma seperated, no need for space too with comma.
