Are Links In Wordpress Post & Blogroll Nofollow By Default

For blogs created using wordpress and free ones at http://wordpress.com what do you think regarding links in post, link in sidebar, blogroll links etc. Are these links placed between nofollow tags by default or not.

Please post here - also external links would be of good help.

Note: No follow links do not count for SEO in google and won't give any backlink what i've heard.

Why do you think they are nofollow? I'm fairly sure they are normal...

No. Only the comment links are nofollow by default.

By default comments links are nofollow http://codex.wordpress.org/Nofollow

But i'm not sure of blogroll b'coz all say it's not nofollow by default.

If blogroll link should be nofollow for a link example.com then it should appear for google search of the term link:example.com or not....

Blogroll links should NOT be nofollow, you would be cheating your link partners!

i have not added nofollow but fear that it might be done default........in http://wordpress.com i find all r dofollow except comments & trackbacks....but notsure of another http://wordpress.org blog.

so http://targetlife.wordpress.com is on safer side. B'coz i find the links from it showing in link:example.com and i don't place links in blogroll but extra links...using ahref and dofollow....rel...

To the blogroll of http://fun4mobilesblog.targetlife.com (now bandwidth down) i added my other blog link - http://targetlife.wordpress.com but i'm not getting a single entry in google for link:http://targetlife.wordpress.com coresponding to http://fun4mobilesblog.targetlife.com eventough this one has 1000+ pages indexed in google and is pr3....But thanx god i did not sell any links for http://fun4mobilesblog.targetlife.com

By default, the nofollow attribute is only activated in comments.
Now, some blog owners might use it in other places, such as blogrolls.

So, when making a link exchange or when buying a link, make sure to check the page source and verify that your link is without nofollow.

In the event that they use nofollow for wordpress.com blogs, you can't change it. You need to use WP on your own server to be able to customise things
