I have just learned about do-follow blogs as a great means of earning links, so here I am, trying my darnest best to try commenting on these do-follow blogs. Of course, I don't comment just for the heck of it. I find blog posts that really catches my fancy and related to my blogs. I make relevant comments, and hopefully, the moderator would approve my comment. Albeit there are other do follow blogs who accepts the comments outright. Are links from do follows really valuable for your blog? Are they much better than adding your blog's URL on directories? To rephrase my question, which is better in terms of link building: do follow blogs or blog directories?
I believe both are not better then each other. Just do both. Maybe if your blog commenting is realted to your url topic it could be better.
I stopped using directories years ago. Seriously, have you seen anyone within the last 2 years get any good results after submitting to 1000s of directories?
Do both. Neither is great, but you can make up for the lack of quality on the incoming link in quality. To get quality links, build the pages yourself, e.g Squidoo, Hub Pages, article marketing, etc. Jay
By your placement in search engine results. The more quality, relevant backlinks you get, the higher you should be. Jay
After submitting to thousands of directories do you end up on the first page for a competitive keyword after some time? Do you start getting thousands of visitors coming in from Google?
I use both methods. I hate using the directories, but I can't see how it hurts to use them. It's such a time consuming process but I'm not sure if I get any valid results?
Actually, I find commenting on do-follow blogs a lot easier to do. What's great is that you immediately see the links coming (on your wordpress blogs). I kinda hate directories, very taxing yet you are not assured that your blog is included in the directory.
