Are large sites immune from prosecution?

If someone decides to click attack NYT (New York Times), would Google ask for server logs and such to detect click fraud or are big sites law unto themselves.

I wouldn't imagine that size would make a company immune, if anything it is going to bring more attention to them, the huge corporations of course have plenty of people on their team but thats no way a licence to do what they want.

They should be playing by the rules like most others and id like to imagine that google would treat these big companies the same as anyone if their up to tricks.

If anything, it is in Googles best interest to go after large publishers who are engaging in click-fraud.

Lots of good PR at this time about clamping down on clickfraud can only be good for them.

Google can detect click fraud on their end, they don't need logs from a site.

I agree, google may watch them more closely. However, since they get so many clicks, the odds of them getting more amounts of clickfraud is higher, so they have a "lower" standard. For bigger sites, after they prove themselves for a few months, they tend to "trust" them.
