    I currently use Wordpress and have a couple questions, Are Keywords and Tags the same? If so how many of each should you have to run a successful well-indexed website?

    No. Usually a tag is something whats intern in your wordpress, to list a number of posts or pages with the same tag. Search engines will not use a tag as a keyword. If you want to add keywords for search engines you should use a plugin for SEO like "All in one Seo". With the plugin you can add meta descriptions, keywords for the homepage or every single post,page.

    Tags -are what is associated with a particular posts, so that the reader can look at all post with a that particular topic.

    Keywords-Are is apart of your site on page SEO factors. They are in the site meta tags and in the body of the body. If you right click "view source" you can see a site keywords that they are targeting.
