There are definitely millions to be made in marketing on the internet and there are definitely people making millions a year. However, not everything you read is the truth and some people believe that it is OK to be deceptive and call it "marketing". You have to be able to read through the hype and determine if someone is really providing value. Check out their blogs or previous product offerings if you can. Do some research. And most importantly, keep track of everything you buy and use the "money back guarantee" if you are not satisfied with a product you purchase. This is where your integrity comes into play; don't buy something, use the information, and then return it or return it because you never took the time to follow the advice. If you get value from it, great...you should pay for it. If it was misrepresented or is truly a bad product, then by all means get your money back.

Finally, look for people that are delivering true value above and beyond what you purchase. If they provide freebies, take the time to review them to get an idea of what they are offering. Stephen Pierce is a great example of a very successful "guru" that provides extra value. He has a great blog at dtalpha.com/talkback.

If you want to make millions as an internet marketing...persistence is key. Keep working at it and build momentum until you reach that point when things begin to snowball. It won't happen overnight, but if you keep at it and keep learning...it will happen.

    Best of luck!
    Scott

I think there are some that really dominate the market, are successful business men and teach fact rather that fiction. But, most that I've spoke with would prefer to not be called a GURU...interesting. The ones that should have that title don't want it. GURU is becoming an online swear word.

Some are real and some are just pretending. Be wary of those who you choose to follow.

Considering that it has almost become taboo to be called a guru, or to refer to yourself as one ("I'm no guru, but..."), it's a bit of a tough question. Point is: some people know more about a subject than others. And if you do your homework, not believe silly promises (sometimes difficult for many of us :), be patient and willing to work damn hard for months without any reward, eventually you'll start sifting the good stuff from the bad, and the real experts from the fakes. Good luck, anyways...

    Hardwork is the virtue.

    1. Make a plan.
    2. Be on top of everyone.
    3. Sell your website.

Yahoo!, Google and Microsoft are buying atleast one website every year. Be one of that.

Many are real and earning serious money. I manage Ok and am at the stage where I need to invest a little to progress faster. Through facebook and mutual friends ı have linked up with real people who are gurus in their own way. beware of the con merchants of course but you need to just use your common sense.

Beware though of the attitude I used to have - that everything is a scam - that negative thinking holds you back. If you want some help here, check out my sign up page below for FREE information and video guides about how you really can make money online (there are paid products too which are great value but if you sign up at least you will get a bunch of FREE stuff you can use)

    Good luck
