are .info names worth registering?

    I agree. Whats the point of trying to grab them in 2-3 years time.? I think at 0.99 cent their the best. Its the content and SEO that matters to google, not whether its .info or not.

    BTW, when the domain name is blown open with the potential of thousands of TLD's, .info might actually increase in value???

    Good point! I think .info has that potential - at least a .info tld would be more recognizable and have a better fit with an informational site more than, for example, .biz has supposedly been for business sites.

    I've never had any trouble getting my .info sites indexed when I post my own articles on them.

    Since most good .com and .net domains are already taken, you're left with a choice of a good .info or a long .com domain, in that case taking the .info is normally my choice. I didn't encounter and problems with .info domains ranking

    In my view, if you are want to invest the domain names and you have not enough , the best you can do is choose a cheap and cool domain names keep it for some years. But you should choose a very cool domains , only this your domain name is a valuerable
