Are .info names good to invest in?

    hi,,

I heard Go daddy is giving away .info names for 99 cents or something like that. Is it worth doing some good .info names and making blogs and then selling them off?
    What do you think guys?

GoDaddy has been selling $0.99 .info domains for as long as I can remember, it's nothing special.

A lot of people have tried making blogs off .info's and have failed, and some haven't. It's a gamble.

.info domains have always been offered cheap and so they have always remained as a cheap alternative in the minds of people. I doubt if it would be a wise decision to invest in them... for flipping business.

Yeah, .com/.net's are pretty much the best ones to go for.

But like I said, it's a complete gamble if you want to try with a .info.

If ever you want to invest in .infos, I would suggest you to go for LLL.infos.

.info domains are ranking mostly bad (check the google blog). Better spend a few dollar more and buy a ordinary domain like .com .net or .org

I have a bad experience with .info and SEO, I think it's value is proportional with it's price. And I have a feeling lots of people avoid buying sites on .info.

I personally don't think .info names are good to invest in because although the reg fee is $0.99, the renewal price is quite high and in most cases buyers will be wanting to buy the .com, not the .info
