Just had the question in mind, i have so many people going for lowballing the .Info domains, if they are such a waste then why they exist at all. Are they just on step above those free uni.cc domains?. They cant be that bad right?

of course a .com .org or .net will look better than a .info, but if you establish the .info into a good site and have members the .info will really not matter.

Depends, if its a tangible product selling site with an info domain then it counters itself completely. Info domains are very well targeted for info related site. Like mydigitallife info or history info etc. It is surely worth a lot ;)

Well it's all about the name and your marketing strategy, I own www.trustedhosting.info and converts well, though not the first google result after querying for "trusted hosting" :(

Hey!... However it's number one at Yahoo :D

the .info got a bad rep from all the spammers abusing them to make a quick buck, but that doesn't mean there aren't legitimate sites using them.

The domain name does not make any difference. Info is good for info sites and .com is good for most sites because everyone thinks every site is name .com. In search engines it makes no difference just make sure to register one for longer than a year so google does not think site is just built for some quick sales and nothing more.

yes to a bot it makes no differnce. But a word does make a difference with human opinion. And public opinion suggest it looks cheap.

    .info means INFORMATION.

If your website is dedicated to information, it is a good gTLD.

Otherwise you are just misplaced! Sorry.

And .cc are very good extensions providing you are living in the country otherwise you are just lost. Sorry.

Yeah, in 10 years I dont think it will really be any different than the .com demand. Demand will be so high for domains and there will be so few left that people will resort to paying more for .info's

    Hello Logic here.
We buy .com's only or 99.9% anyways. If the issue to us is the domain name is not as important as the site content then buy a .com of anyhting short and easy.
In the 10+ years of buying and never selling a domain name we have seen all of the extensions come, get hyped, then fade away exspecially .cc and .biz and .info including the more resent .mobi's
Hey even this domain name buying addict got hooked on 6 .mobi's.

It is best to buy the .com short and enjoy your future.

    Logically speaking anyways.

    Logic...
