Are .info bad for seo?

    it doesn't matter to SEO whether what kind of extension domain a certain site has...its all about performance.

    I definitely agree, since even with different extension it depends on the optimization of the site... If done correctly and quality works...

    .info won't hurt you SEO-wise. It's just not that common for a normal user who may try and type something ".com" and hope to get a result. No one really thinks to type ".info"

    I would suggest your taking .com domains. People are more used to them, that's why it's better to buy them. :)

    Just my 2 cents.

    Right now .com is the most popular. It's like the beach front property of the web.

    Let's say you are selling widgets and you have the domain www <dot> widgets <dot> com.
    You will get a ton of non organic traffic just from people randomly typing in that domain.

    As people/internet users get more technical savvy, .net's and .info's will become more popular.

    So when someone randomly types www widgets com and doesn't find something, he may then try the .net and the .info. I don't think this has happened yet, but I think someday it will (just my opinion)
