Does google rank these domains in their respective countries only ie.. is their priority higher in their respective countries only? I have a few .in domains like.. http://learnhacking.in/ http://getreview.in/ http://freearticlesubmission.in/ These domains rank 1 for many competitive keywords in Google India, but their rank is a bit lower in Google.com ? What is the problem and how can it be solved?
Well yes, we use a .us domain to be #3 in Google, but we also have a .com site that shows up on google.co.uk for a search term in position 7. This has been acheived by getting links from relevant websites, forums, blogs etc that have a .co.uk domain.
Its not that Google ranks a country specific domain in its country only but yes is is observed that generally there is a difference in ranking. i.e. if you have a domain like example.co.uk, then your keywords may have a better ranking in Google.co.uk as compare to Google.com. To overcome this issue, you should gain some country specific back link. for ex if you are targeting UK Google then try to get some back-links from .co.uk sites.
