I've been working on link building with articles. When I look at backlinks in Google Webmaster tools or in Yahoo, I see my backlinks from ezine and other article sites as well as blogs that I've submitted articles to. But links from Hubpages don't show up. My hubscore is over 75 and the links are dofollow. Are links from hubpages less valuable than links from these other places?
I am digging mine so far, traffic isn't converting YET but I am new to hubpages and just like any network locating the right converting audience is where the money CAN be made if you go through the effort to split test.
No, it you get your hubscore above 75, your links all magically become dofollow! Thanks for the feedback! I think you're right, Bizmagic, I'll wait and see what happens!
I don't want to get in trouble for putting a link in a message, so you'll have to put this one together for yourself: hubpages dot com You sign up and blog. After a few quality posts, your score goes up enough that your links become dofollow. Participation, like commenting on other people's hubs and posting in the forums helps your hubscore too.
I have a score of 75 and I have just build one link through the hubpage which has PR0. I think there are very essential when building backlinks to your site.
You could sign up for hubpages at the website hubpages dot com. It is something like squidoo - you build up a page focussed on your niche and then it ranks well and attracts visitors and acts as a web 2.0 property to link back to your site.
it takes some time depending on your hubpage promotion as to when your individual hubscore will turn to 75+. google doesn't update backlinks on a real time basis so there will be a time gap between your 75 hubscore and backlink update in webmaster tool. what i can suggest you is that you work on maintaining your 75+ hubscore and let google update the links on their own time. another thing to consider is that your hub needs to be crawled by googlebot AFTER you get 75 hubscore so that google can find a dofollow link. if your hub was indexed before you score was 75 and googlebot didnt come back again to visit your hub after you got 75, then you dont have a dofollow link in the eyes of google
Hi, you miss out on commenting to get backlinks. Instead of using your hubpages ID to make comments, you can use Name/URL (use your blog) to make comments. In that case, you can get backlinks from the effort of other people as well.
