Are Hostgator Any Good? Need advice Please.

    Creating a new business shortly offering clients hosting. Seriously oconsidering HostGator for my reseller package.

    Anyone have any experience with hostgator reseller? I was going to go with HostClear but noticed that it is run by the same company as JustHost so thought it would be best to stay clear of them!

    What are the load times of websites with Hostgator?

    I am 100% positive there are reviews on HostGator, almost everywhere on the net, Google should yield you some results. Some good, some bad, a lot of them fake due to affiliate links from people just trying to earn commission.

    As for the load times, nobody can really determine this for you since there are too many variables that determine this such as server location to the end user, whether its a static/dynamic (PHP, MySQL site), current server load, etc... if you're wondering about speeds you could request a speed test, I'm not sure if they would provide one though.

    Well your in luck, someone on this forum right now works for HG hint hint wink wink. From what that someone says, HostGator load times are very low which is a good thing. With thousands of servers, you should never find a slow one.

    I highly recommend HostGator. I've never had any issues with them and their customers support is nothing less than top notch.

    You can try out a VPS for reseller or a Cloud hosting server(from Nethosting.com) also.. for Resller you can use Hostgator or ResellerClub

    I'm a reseller with them too. They are fine. Note that they don't allow overselling with their resellers. So you can't get unlimited clients with your reseller account. Once allocated, the resource is considered used. So plan your packages carefully.

    I heard for their servers and VPS they are real bad, but for normal hosting they are pretty decent.
