It has been tested by Stompernet that they all contribute to a Google-worthy page. But yes, a page with H1 keywords is better SEOing than a page of H2 keywords. It all has to be in moderation. .
The header elements are supposed to be used to give your page structure. Think of using them to "outline" the content of your page. Because a page "should" be about a single topic, the <h1> should appear only once per page. HTML standards "allow" you to have more than one, but it makes no sense to do so. Since the <h1> like the <title> should contain a description of what the overall page is about, they carry more weight. <h2> carries less... <h3> carries even less... etc. or so the story goes. For example, say your web page is an article. The <h1> will typically contain the title of the article. If the article is further subdivided into 3 important sections then you might use an <h2> for each of the 3 section titles. It's rare that you would ever need to go farther than that, but IF you wanted to subdivide a section into multiple subsections then you could use an <h3> for each of the subsections... And so on... Typically <h2>, possibly <h3>, is as far as you go. If you're using an <h1>, multiple <h2>s, multiple <h3>s, multiple <h4>s, multiple <h5>s, and multiple <h6>s then you should probably consider breaking the content up into multiple sections. Unless it is a VERY long page, using <h1>...<h6> on a single page "might" trigger some type of over optimization filter at Google.
I wouldn't think that it would offer THAT much of a change, though. Nothing that would drastically affect a relatively smaller blog.
Is it really important to have H1 in every inner page... or really not important??? does it really helps in serps or something?? say there are 2 pages.. both have same content... 1st page has H1 tag.. 2nd page doesnt... Are we saying the page which has H1 tag, would be highly liked by SEARCH ENGINES?
Just imagine like this, on one optimized page, H1 is head title and bring people focus on, h2 h3 h4 for next head title for sub-title bellow h1. It's also very important for seo and optimize landing page or something
Heading tags (H1 through to H6) are given more weight by search engines than regular body copy. So they should be used wisely to reward the page.
I would focus on keyword stuffing using h2, h3, h4 tags. You might only see a small increase in serps with this. I would suggest focusing on building content with the user in mind and not for the search engines. You would convert a lot better this way.
H1 to H6 tags are totally different, H1 is main if you want to target your main keyword in pages so put H1 tag and but H1 tag make sure compete before H2 same as H3 tag and other tag
Hi ! H1 tag is the most important , but it should be used only once on a page. And use other heading tags also for good ranking.
