Now this is going to be a rant. Seriously there is no useful information in this post at all.

Google, what the fuck are you playing at? What is a bridge page and what do google expect people who pay for advertising to do with the traffic??? I swear they have lost the plot. I haven't used adwords for some time....Maybe a year....But unless I am mistaken, the whole point of paying for advertising is to get some kind of return on your investment. Unless, it seems, you are talking about adwords. They expect us to pay for advertising and then send the traffic to some article or something...Im not really sure what they expect us to do with it but it seems that a sales page is a big no no. WTF.

I do get the fact that google is all about giving good, unique content to the user but in my opinion if you are paying for the advertising you can send traffic to a sales page, thats the whole point of it. Who do they think they are?? Man, i'm furious. I used to really like google and their philosophy of quality but this is ridiculous, its almost as if they want us to pay to send people to a page that isn't going to make us any money but as long as google gets their quality, useful articles all is well....Fuckin ridiculous.

    Dead on.

What they want is an internet that is all information, no marketers allowed and certainly no affiliate marketers.

The good part is Facebook Ads work and have more traffic now then Google.

Google's days are numbered as far as dominating PPC. Someone is going to come along and knock them out soon. I don't think anyone will feel bad about that either.

    :)

Googles days are most definitely numbered. A large percentage of their income must come from affiliate marketeers and we will only put up with so much.
I would imagine there would be large street parties when google falls...There will in my street anyway.

I find it absolutely ridiculous. Can you imagine if the tv networks decided that wallmart or Amazon could only put out entertaining content and couldn't try and sell anybody elses products in their ads....It makes me so mad how they think they can monopolize and dictate.

Man, you guys make me laugh! Google's days numbered? Are you kidding? There is no one else even close to them so if 50,000 days counts as numbered, then I guess so. But really. Other search engines are following in their footsteps so Google must be doing something right. Their customers, the users of search engines, are telling them what is wrong. Google realized that long ago and why they have these rules. Bing's users are telling them the same thing so they are going in the same direction.

Best advice I can give is to learn and understand what they want. Affiliate marketers only make maybe 5% of their revenues. They've shown they won't bat an eye if you don't follow their rules so even if you could get all AMs to leave Google, it just won't make a dent.

By the way, other advertising medium like TV and newspapers do occasionally refuse ads. Nothing new.

There's a reason that the only time you see infomercials is late at night. Why? Because people really don't like seeing them, same with spammy looking bridge/sales pages. I geet pissed off when I come upon a white page with blocks of text and randomly capitalized, bolded, and different colored words, and so do most other web users. You need to find a more creative way to sell, it's that simple.

Some really good points, surprising that their reviews don't pick up on this kind thing and disallow users to run ads
