    i don't think so,forum is for people who have same interests.
    social media has replaced some of the functionality of a forum - you can ask a quick question and usually get a quick answer on a topic. but social media is 'conversation lite' - if you want a deeper response, you need a place where that's welcomed. that would be forums.
