Are Forum Posting Useful For Link Building?

I have seen that maximum forum sites offers Nofollow Signature posts.
Please suggest me, that they will be useful as Link building or SEO?

If a particular forum allows link to be posted, then YES. Even so, more forums allow forum signature where you can embed your codes such as this one so I really believe that forum posting help in link building because each link in your signature is being considered.

 

Yes, I know... But you know maximum signature posts are with Nofollow...So what will be the advantage in SEO?

 

Being active in niche related forum will bring targeted traffic to your website. As for SEO value, no follow links won't help your website to rank higher. IMO forums should not be used only for SEO but for sharing, brand recognition & traffic.

 

Thanks, Now I got the point. Yes, I have missed about the traffic. Its either Dofollow or Nofollow, I can get relevant traffic to my signature link site from a relevant forum. Thanks for clearing that.......

 

It's definitely an advantage to a signature in your forum if the forum allows it because it helps diversify your link building and thereby helping you create a Google link profile, each time you post it's counted as a link.. Even if it's no follow it's google especially post penguin and panda

 

Both dofollow and nofollow are important in link building because they will show to Google that your backlinks created naturally. Even some forum didn't give dofollow backlink on signature, I think it was okay because of the TrustRank still flows into your site. Don't only aim for PageRank.

I have my site's link in my signature and i got most of the traffic from forums and twitter etc.

 

While you can build links to your site through your forum posts, that should not be your main concern when participating in forums. Commenting in forums helps you build your and your site's reputation within the community. People are more likely to click on that link on your forum signature if they know you are someone that gives good information.

Well I'm actually one of those believers that even No Follow links do count for something, especially if the site is good. Somehow I'm sure it's still detected as a link. And nowadays with Social Media up and about, I feel more viewers do count for ranking you up. But of course, Do Follow from legit sites will always be the most valuable.

 

Yes Forum posting gives you quality back links which gives a heavy traffic for your website.

 

Yes, obviously forum posting is useful for link building but it depends on you what kind of forum you are using for building links. The main purpose of forum posting is to get good knowledge & if you are doing forum posting to your website relevant sites than it will be more beneficial for your website, because now Google consider contextual SEO process.
