The Costa Rica real estate business is about as cut-throat as it gets. No true MLS exists, therefore getting other real estate companies to link to your site is link pulling "all their teeth". If I can get realtors in the USA, the UK, Europe, etc. to link to me will Google see these links as "similar business links" or will Google dismiss them and either rate them very low or penalize me for them? If you have any direct proof or written statements they would be greatly appreciate, as would hearsay. Don http://www.costa-rica-forsalebyowner.com
Thats a tricky question. I would suggest trying it anyways. After all more links from good sources never hurts!
Thanks for the input. I agree with the premise that links help due to the keywords, but I have read that "unrelated" sites are neutral for PR. Anyone else have any experience posting international links? Don http://www.costa-rica-forsalebyowner.com
simple answer is yeah it'll be good and beneficial. a link from a site on los angeles real estate to a site about costa rica real estate is easily a close enough match content wise. that would most definitely be closely related enough for google.
I think help in looking the link building natural, getting a few foreign link, if you analyze old sites always have a small percentage of foreign links. I'm testing it with some sites and the serp is increasing. However I'm not a seo expert.
