Are Featured Links A Good Idea

It's PR0 a far as the human eye can tell... the real test is how relative the content is to your topic.

IMO featured links can be a great value if they are not too expensive.

 

Thank you for everyones insight. I am now going to look for some $1/$2 featured links to get me started to see what impact it has for my site cheers all.

 

I agree with the point you make, too many directories are vague, most of the better ones make it clear what they offer though.

@anyone else. What's the first thing you look at on a page? The middle of the page or the first that comes to you. The fact is that we generally read from top to bottom so featured definitely offers more vfm.

Before Arabs jump in, I am aware that Arab countries read from bottom upwards.

 

$1/$2 featured links, they don't exist do they? I'm sure after 11 years of the web these would have been reported like wild fire - if they exist........

You will see lots of $10/$20 featured links, but $1? I haven't seen any yet.

I'll keep my eye out for some and post them here if I find some.

Yup, buying links increases traffic and clickthrough.
