Are email submits worth it?

I am new to affiliate marketing, but ready to go full force. I am wondering if email/zip submits are worth going after?

I see a lot of potential in it and I believe I can generate plenty of traffic/sign-ups.

So I am not too worried about making actual money. I am more worried about actually getting paid.

I was setting up some pages, getting ready to launch. I end up reading a forum post over at C2M by Ruck saying they are removing all email submits because all the sudden offers will go inactive without the advertiser notifying the network and advertisers are notorious for scrubbing leads.

I had a feeling some of this would be the case, but just starting out I am not made of money. I intend to promote by PPC, but I don't want to spend hundreds to thousands per month only to find out they scrubbed my leads so bad that it ends up costing more to generate it than what I will make.

Or to find out that I've been spending money to promote something only to find out it's no longer active.

So is it worth it? How much of this goes on? What percentage of leads do you lose due to scrubbing? I am sure it varies by advertiser, but I would appreciate some insight.

    Thanks!

I've been doing email/zip submits for a good while and have made an extremely large amount of money. Hydra (link in my sig) pays on time and has about 50 different ones available, so I wouldn't worry about them stopping any time soon. I haven't noticed a significant amount of scrubbing going on with them -- I consistently get 30-35% submission/action rate when compared against clicks.
