When talking about eBook sites, I was thinking of something like this: http://www.getmailinglistprofits.com/ I have bunch of ready books with reseller rights. Note that I haven't written any of my own, those are merely other authors' books with resale rights. So I was wondering whether these kind of sites are profitable? If so, where should I advertise them to have someone actually buy the book? Thanks
Perhaps they would work if they wouldn't all look alike but I assure you there are enough people on this planet to fill your pocket with money. Is it so hard to devote couple of hours to your ebook website design and make something that doesn't look like a sales letter? I'm sure it would increase your sales because everytime I see a sales page I close the bar immediatly, I don't even bother to see what's the product because I already know it's crap. You should start in Buy, Sell or Trade forum, Ebay... If you're ebook is not bulls**t (which I doubt, no offense but this is what I think about these sorts or "books") you should give free review copies to bloggers because they can promote your book like nobody else. Don't forget to submit to D**g, show it on MySpace and Facebook and add it to your forum signatures, there are numerous way to promote it.
I must agree with it. Me too, when I see that single-paged eBook selling site, I close the bar immediately. But the thing is that I see some PayPal screenshots with real money on it, and moreover, I see people selling these kinds of websites (along with eBook) for more than $1000. That's why I asked about this. Pozdrav, brat Slovenac
Ah yes but you are both thinking like Internet Marketers and not your average consumer. You see 'SALES PAGE' because you know it is a sales page. Try to approach the site from the target demographics point of view, thats who the sales page is written for and not saavy internet marketers like you guys As for ebooks in general though. They are still highly profitable and I'm not about to ditch mine. As for buying them for $1000, i think that is not a good approach because it isnt that hard to set it up yourself for less than that. Hope this helps
Yes, it helps. You're right. There's still one question remaining: where to advertise that kind of a site?
I mentioned that in my first post but looks like you're ignoring it. Besides that you can spend some money on PPC campaigns, there are also people here in BST forum offering free reviews on their blogs in exchange for nothing. Translate that sales page to your local language and print few hundred cards and just throw them around your block or your whole city. Offline marketing can be very efficient. Poz brate
Package some of the ebooks with the same subject matter/theme/niche and make sure the rights alllow this, but bundle them together into your own package. Create your own graphics and sales page and turn something old into something new.
But people willing to buy adsense ebooks are Internet Marketers wannabe The average members of DP are also Internet Marketers wannabe BUT they are selling these crappy ebooks
