Are duplicate pages normal in a Content Management System?

In Google Webmaster tools, I can see several duplicates of the article pages on our site. I can see this by viewing pages in the duplicate title tags section of Webmaster Tools.

Here is an example of what I am seeing:
    Article:

"Honeywell gets new six-year contract for satellite flight operations | NJBIZ"

    URLs of duplicate pages:
    /article/20130219/NJBIZ01/130219787&source=RSS

    /article/20130219/NJBIZ01/130219787/2995/Honeywell-gets-new-six-year-contract-for-satellite-flight-operations

    /article/20130219/NJBIZ01/130219787/1017/Honeywell-gets-new-six-year-contract-for-satellite-flight-operations

    /article/20130219/NJBIZ01/130219787/grapevine/Honeywell-gets-new-six-year-contract-for-satellite-flight-operations.

Would these duplicate versions of pages hurt SEO overall, or is this common in a Content Management Systems?

NO.Google are very smart. Pages you are seen can be results of blackhat SEO.When Google will caught it he will penalized his website for being spammer.
