I may be just me, but it sounds like alot of people (not all) in DP are Search engine spammers... just trying to make there website the top for a search term, even though there site doesn't give good information in a clear and nice manner... just trying to make some $$ with adsense... then complaining about how much there not making... because the search engines 'think' there site stinks.
are you a spammer? (since u're a DP member) ------------------- I have learned so much from DP members, and I believe there are some great SEO consultants and online marketing GURU's are here at DP. If you read through, you'll see that everybody recommends building quality content, and investing for the long term at DP forums. good luck
I think that people are focusing on making money from AdSense too much and forgetting about the true reason of the internet - to give good, concise information. But I really don't think everyone around DP is like that. After all, DP is mostly a SEO forum so a lot of people are going to be coming here asking for advice on SEO.
Well it has a couple meanings (one of which is not very appropriate) but I believe they are referring to the cleaner and more relevant meaning which is "Digital Point"
Personally i dont spam. I use DP as a source for information, where i can ask virtually any computer related question and get multiple responses within one day. Perhaps at one time this was the "true reason" however as time has progressed the internet is being used for so many other things. One important feature is allowing people to buy things. I guess you could argue that we're just giving them the information about our company, but more then that we're allowing people to purchase from a far away place, which is more a feature of communication. I use the internet mainly to sell things, my company provides good mostly unique (damn old webmasters making semi-unique stuff, hey lets copy another site's FAQ nobody will ever notice...) content which helps our customers feel at ease when they purchase our product. Most people never even look at more then a page or two of our hundreds of pages of content before they send a purchase request to us. I'm working on more sites which will likely feature adsense as a way to make money. However i dont think creating good content sites which feature adsense is spam.. its just a way to pay me to create good sites like these. Personally i want to quit my 9-5 job and just work on my own sites.. to do this i'll need income, probly from adsense or referral programs.
Do you even know what site you're posting at!!! er, are you SURE you want an E-Mail address for a username??!! It's a great way to let spammers harvest you and feed you with a lot of daily fresh SPAM.
Sign you up with lots of useless sites so they can fill your inbox with stupid stuff every single day of the week. DP is the number one forum for a lot of reasons for me. Where else can you find the biggest wacko on the net?
there are spammers everywhere. They should have a meagans law for spammers!! lol DP = Digital Point. I didn't know that! jk
Come on. Spammers are everywhere. Who hates money? If spamming can make you big bucks, why not. Those who are shouting about spammers are those who are jealous of what they're making. See, if you are earning 20k per month, i think you wouldnt mind anyone else call you a spammer
If you read all the threads where these people make 14 cents a week on adsense you realise that the search engines are onto them.
I agree with dcole07... seems way too many people are just adding sites to make a few pennies from Adsense... not just this forum but on every one I visit. Everyone seems to be looking for an easy way to make a few *pennies* without thinking. I hate it when I click on a site and all I find is a page of links... what a waste. And as long as I am ranting... whats all the crap about Google rankings... sheeeeeze.. most seachers never get past the first 3 pages of a search and when a seach results in 4,000,000 sites... what are the odds you will be listed on page one!!! Maybe the people would have a better chance of winning the Lottery... or getting struck by lightening! (Gets down from rant box)
yep there is lot of it, i dont spam, but i want to know and reply posts which i find intresting, i take this site as a resource.
your question is contradictory in itself. DP is a place to make good ,resourceful site which ALSO makes money. So how can they be spammers. Of course you can't say the same for each and every person, but thats the larger picture.
