Are DoFollow Directories Dead?

    Are DF directories dead as well as NoFollow directories? Or maybe I should rephrase the question - are ALL directories dead? I know that they aren't as good as they use to be.

    I've noticed this in the past year or so.

    I don't think they're completely dead.... they've just gone "out of fashion", so to speak.

    Directories are far from dead. What has recently happened is a fools gold rush to launch directories on dropped domains or directories which are infested with ads, trojans, and other low quality stuff. You will find that the quality directories are doing just as good or better then they were a year ago.

    Directories are making money, they are getting traffic and new directories are being born. As any profitable niche it has got crowded and a lot of people are failing to make money.
