Why do I ask? I've visited several PR5-6 directories(pay and free ones),clicked several links on each and after the site I've came from directory to has been opened I've looked at its backwords links list. And never found there the directory I came from. What does it mean? Are directories still effective tool in order to increase PR and the fact I hadn't found their URL's in backwords links list doesn't matter? Thanks
I don't think so. All it matter to increase you page is to have a few high-PR sites to link to you. But hey, what's with the PR thing, did you know that PR does not play any role in your SERPs results?
Yes,I do know But if so,how the directory submission will help us to get high SERP results if google doesn't count these links at all?
yes. I also have experience in getting good page rank after submitting to directories. The more, the better.
Yes directories are still the easiest way to get high PR for your sites.. This all depends on quality/strength of the directory and the PR of the Page where your link is listed.
I think your whole question is based on the assumption that when you ask google to list the links to a given site, with the link: command, it actually tels you which links it knows about. It doesn't: google only lists a fraction of the links to a given page. Use Yahoo site-explorer for more accurate results.
Well don't be that sure that directories will pass pr and will end up effective and worth the money and effort There are only a few people who know how to optimize and promote directories the right way and you basically can note these people buying links or running advertising campaigns. Not all directories work, you just have to find the ones that do
i dont agree with you . directories are the best way for for building one way backlinks. all links from directories will help you but pls allways remember , you get what you pay
