Hello, If I have three dating sites, then should I use different IP for each site? Is it better or it does not matter when google crawl my sites in their engine? I post the each link on the link section for each other to exchange. Also, the IPs they gave me from the server are ONLY different from the last digit. Is that considered different IP for each site? Thanks.
No problem as long as that ip doesn't have bad neighbourhood or has been used by spammers before. Here is a link to verify http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/myth-busting-virtual-hosts-vs-dedicated-ip-addresses/
Different IP's are necessary only if you will interlink your sites with dofollow. Last digit difference is not enough to make an IP unique or different. You must buy packages from different hosting companies.
So, you say that you do exchange links among the 3 sites and that the only difference in IP addresses is the last digit. IMO, this is no different than all being one larger site. I assume that domain records show the same owner for all three names. If so, it is nearly a guarantee that G sees them as one site. That's ok. Each site can specialize in one aspect with all 3 tied together. This is a very effective approach in my view.
G never sees them as one site. It even never sees the subdomains as one site. Just remember blogspot domain. G only cares about whether a backlink is natural or not.
If you want to interlink them, use different IP. The only reason to do it, it to not let Google think that you are "cheating" (linking to your own sites is considered "cheating" by Google)
It really doesn't make a difference unless you plan on linking them all together, or if the IP is in a bad neighborhood.
I'm sure Google still a way to identify if sites belongs to one owner. Might be good to get hosted on different companies, as long as you don't do anything beyond Google rules, as well as other sites on your IP range.
It's just don't let Google think they are all belonging to the same owner if any concern. Hosting companies host tons of site on the same IP or just a subnet of IP ranges, Google's not going to think they are all the same site, is Google? So it won't be only the IP issue.
Stupid question - because Google isn't stupid - they know when you're direct linking between your network of sites.
I suggest to get different Ip's rather than using single Ip. Sometimes if we are wrong in our methods of SEO and google punishes our site then only one site will get affect rather than affecting all the sites!
Well that is a new good angle of thinking. Because sometimes it might not even be your fault to be marked as a spam site. Your bad neighbourhood could cause that. So if the sites are in different ip's you are basically diversifying your portfolio.
The IP address is like the address of ur home, if any digit is change the address is totally changed so dont worry about it.
