Are credit cards given to webmasters in india?

hello guys.I am a little depressed right now.After struggling for two months with the bank,i finally got yuva card a few days back.But just now i learnt that you cannot verify paypal account with that.WTF!!

And now i am wondering what to do.I am planning to buy a site worth 10k USD within this month.But since my paypal account is not verified,i am stuck.What to do now guys?Please help me with this thing.Should i get a credit card from my bank [SBI]???Do they give credit cards to web masters?

Any help here would be of extreme use to me.thanks

 

you can verify your indian paypal with bank account now.. just add your bank account to paypl

 

hey Bohra.Actually,it got fu**ed up as well.Because i entered my bank account details in paypal a few weeks ago and paypal informed me that it had sent me the deposits.But when i check my savings book or the online account,the details do not show up at all.How do i detect the deposit amounts?

You can take a credit card in Axis bank on Fixed deposits.

 

Please keep in mind most banks ask for PAN and IT receipts before they issue the real credit card, although you can avoid it if you do a fixed deposit, but i think they may PAN. Ask axis or hdfc. just tell them you are self employed and doing software work.

Believe it or not, i got my first credit card last year and they asked me too many questions. From that day on, i dont use the word `online job` and i just tell them in short self employed as software developer. i didnt do any fixed deposit but they approved my application since i have been a client to bank for past 1 yr maintaining good balance. The credit limit was so small about $400 and it seems only once in a year they will increment it. i couldnt do anything about it.

Dont forget that, once you succeed in getting your first credit card, then you can easily get credit cards from other banks.

My advice is dont use PP for high net worth transactions because it is too risky. Use escrow or bank transfer to protect yourself from fraud.

You should first try detaching your bank account and then again... after attaching the same, try to do verification process once again. It appears the small deposits for your account verification might have got stuck when paypal faced withdrawal problems between 7-10th April!

85% is credit limit on your FD and most banks will take a min of 20k for FD

 

Are you sure that the other person to whom you are paying money to is the legitimate owner of the site? Are you also sure that he isn't a fraud or anything?

You need to be really careful when doing large deals. I would also advice that you use escrow.com unless you are extremely sure.

 

In Axis bank,to issue a credit card on Fd we should have a minimum balance of Rs25000 to 500000 and CC will be issued in 20 days.I asked today in nearest Axis branch.

i think you are right.May be i will look into using escrow for buying the site.but how do i send money to escrow?it requires a credit card [which i do not have] or needs a wire transfer.Should i choose wire transfer?

 

i think escrow does have a wire transfer if u trust the guy just do a direct wire

 

you mean wire cash to the escrow and then go on with the process?

 

see if you trust the person then direct wire transfer otherwise use escrow will increase your fees and stuff because escrow acts like a middlemen

Open Axis Bank SB account with Rs.2,500 average quarterly balance.
you will get visa verified logo on your customized atm cum debit card.
use this card to verify your paypal account.
i verified my account by linking my Karnataka Bank Ltd. Account.
And after that i addes axis bank debit card to my account.
it worked fine.
i hope it works for you too...
