I have a sitewide adsense block with this clicktru. Site with mostly returning members. I use rotating colors and all, but always the same ad is showing...
If the "same ad" is showing then try disabling it from within your adsense account to see if other ads will show up or not.
With that results, you should think on another advertisement model. Because you have returning visitors, they tend to be blind to ads, so pay per impression ads, or selling links maybe work better for you.
Adsense is partly CPM, so it does earn some money with that, but low ctr. I wonder why an advertiser would want to chose a cpm adversting model, what's the point in showing the ad without anyone clickin (besides maybe name branding?) You have other suggestions for advertisement models ?
Depends on yours site theme, some models works better on a niche than others. But I'll give some ideas: - You can try selling links. - Another way to get residual income is thru CPL/CPA (earn money from leads or sells) as an affiliate of other site selling their inventory. - Also, you can earn money with that ugly/hated behaviour of pop unders and pop ups.
It all depends, some sites don't even manage to get one click so 0,1% CTR isn't that bad. My sites have around 3% CTR.
