are .biz domains worth?

I was wondering are these .biz domain names worth anything? whether people are building these domains and do search engines love them?

 

I rarly see .biz domains on Google and yahoo unless I am super specific and looking for a website.

They do not carry the weight that .com's, .net's, and .org's have.

I would recommend them only if you have a local business and you have no interest in having the world participate in your site.

 

i dont think it worth, not many people will purchase .biz domain

It is amazing how this tld just never took off the way one might have expected.

 

The .biz extention is quite a weak extention & has been a failure IMO. It was meant to be an extention out there to target businesses. Although there are .biz names that do have value, unless they are decently strong names, they aren't worth too much.

 

all, Thanks for the reply. I do understand .biz domain is not very popular but there is one word (6 letters) very popular .com domain and its .biz domain is unregistered so was thinking whether its worth something....

.Biz is not really worth your time unless you can get a popular one word domain.. then you may have some luck
