I've heard of a couple people making money, but not enough to actually make it worth their time.

Yea Im sure they pay, they charge people to have their sites visited by the surfers, then the company turns around and gives some of that money to the surfers. It's not much though, surf for hours for a few cents or dollars.

From a webmaster perspective though, I don't see why people would buy traffic like that.

Exactly, cause the person doing the surfing just clicks, waits the 10-30 seconds then clicks again and has no interest whatsoever in your website.

Think about your target market. Are they the kind of people who get paid to surf? Probably not!

Reminds me of those Get Paid to Surf toolbars with ads in it.

Actually made a good few thousand dollars by referrals, but that was way back. Back then they couldn't detect automated programs yet and everybody was just running the toolbar overnight and made a small fortune. After these automated programs were detected it just vanished...

12dailypro has been one of the quickest autosurf programs to gain members and publicity. I do not think they will last too much longer only because they rely on members constantly upgrading to earn income. Alot of these sorts of sites are pure ponzi's and have no real business plan to keep them going.

I know of a couple of sites which have been around for over a year, one of them for at least 3 years and are still paying.

They are good for increasing traffic to your site if you get paid on a cpm rate. But the traffic is what you would call "rubish" as in you will not see too much increase in sales and/or signups.

I run autosurf which does not offer such large rewards but has been running for over a year and with no signs of slowing down. The database is only 1000 members but I am happy with that as Advertisers are paying all the bills plus a nice little profit for myself to put into my other web business's.

From what I've seen about surfing (auto or not) Traffic Exchanges, ofcourse it's all about the downline you bring in (or buy) and time.

Yes alot of autosurf programs allow you to earn money. But these tend not to last as they run out of money. Simply by doing a search at google for paid auto surfs you will find thousands of them!

12DailyPro has been around for several months now, but I think it is nearing the end of its run. They are offering 44% return on your "investment" after 12 days. The only way they appear to be getting income is from member upgrades so a ponzi as long as more members keep upgrading it will last, and the occasional paid ad on the site which sells pretty cheap.

If you are going in, I would only suggest a small amount that you can afford to loose at the moment as I personally think it is almost over. They have also had lots of server troubles in the past 2 days.

The better programs to look at for stability are the 1% up to 3%, 1% will last the longest and more chance of survival but 2%-3% quicker to get back your initial "investment"

Not a problem. There are some programs out there where you can actually make some money without "investing" or purchasing an "account upgrade" so if you are after some traffic whilst earning a little cash they are certainly worth a look in.

I've done a couple of those free surfing sites for traffic.
and my website does get traffic from them.

Your right about not having any interest in the sites I'm surfing.
I shrink it down so that 4 browsers fit on the screen and I never see the site I'm surfing. Just doing it to see if I would get traffic to my site.
But I'm sure everyone else is doing the same thing I'm doing.
My opinion is that it wouldn't help to sell your products.
But it will increase traffic to your site.

they probably pay, but there are better ways to earn more and faster money than doing those. Most require investment to even earn a sufficient ammount. Especially the limts on those. To earn money on the net, it's best to make sites with ads, or blogs.

About the traffic from autosurfs, a lot of people just do it for personal gain. when they go to your site, they just do it for long enough to earn money, and 90% of the traffic that goes to your site would be trash. I've done that before, and it's not worth the time commitment.
