What's your thoughts on this? Seem to be 2 camps. For and against. Many say now article submissions can count against. What's your experience?
Article submissions works good on a bulk basis. Submitting to one or two sites won't help much. However, depending on how good your article is and how high it ranks within the article directory for the keywords it can bring good referral traffic. Just follow on page seo and you will do good.
Yes, Panda diminished the impact of backlinks from directories, so with the possible exception of the top ones like ezinearticles, it's better to go wholesale (quantity) than retail (quality) in getting link mileage out of them.
Yes, if you are talking about those high quality article directory. However, i will say that crap article directory never help
article submission is not what it used to be where you could get hundreds of links from a single mass article submission. however, if you write quality article and submit to a good list of sites, you still can get some good advantage out of it. article submission continues to be one of the most popular link building methods.
I agree quality articles over bulk articles is the best way to go. I have tried both methods and the quality article marketing didn't bring in as much traffic as the bulk less quality articles, i received a higher ROI with the smaller number of quality articles.
Article Submission is not a tool as such. Its a technique / strategy in link building for building back links to the site. Article Distributions are very useful as they give us the contextual links and such links are given high priority by Search Engines. Hence - article submission is an effective method in the SEO process and link building... Hope you go the point..
Good, could u clarify above. You start by saying quality is better, but then they say quality didn't bring as much traffic.
I must admit that have had some clear measurable success on non-traditional article directory sites. I.e., social media news sites, where they allow you submit news tips, similar to Digg. If the social news site is in a niche then even better.
Bulk articles is still effective. Spin them for unique content or leave them to be considered syndicated by Google. Either way they are still effective.
Definately. Creating a few very high quality articles and having it syndicated can be a huge attraction for large volumes of traffic. It does take work to create "super articles" but it's so worth it in the end.
Well, according to my experience, write quality articles or around 600 words and submit to top article directory, remember submit unique articles to all top article directories and I think top article directories are few 15-20 directories. If you managed to submit your unique articles to top article directories then it would start creating back links to your site manually because of quality in articles and authority directories, if any webmaster visited your article and if they found informative they would like to post that article on his or her site, this means you are building links naturally as well as you are getting relevant visitors to your site.
Surely it is a good seo strategy but it depends on how you do. Google must index your article page before indexing the article directory page (you submitted article page in the article directory). Otherwise there will be a prob. something like spamming.
Article submissions still work in that the value of the links coming from these sites is just as strong as ever. What's been damaged by Panda is these sites inherent power to easily rank for keywords, thus drastically lowering the value of bum marketing.
