Are all image adsense ads site-based and CPM?

    Are all image adsense ads site-based and CPM? If I turn on image-only, will it only display CPM ads rather than CPC?

    Probably but some image ads are also CPC.

    hm what exactly does that mean, that if I put up image ads I get paid only for every 1000 impression and not per click? In other words, if I have low CTR but high impression rate, it could be better to replace text ads with image ads??

    not all are CPM. It can be CPC.

    Hey image and text are same, Thre is a difference for advertiser not for publisher.
