I plan on distributing work for free using some fonts I like at no charge on my website and would like to know if thats ok to do so or I am crossing the line in terms of copyright issues. Thanks
What do you mean distributing work for free? All fonts have some type of license with them so it depends on what the actual font is and where you got it from. If you use a free font from somewhere like dafont.com you might be ok but you will need to read their fine print. Sometimes the designer asks to be credited. If you are planning on giving away a font that you purchased from somewhere like Adobe, Veer or Linotype the simple answer is No. Most have the option to buy a license that lets you include the font for a set number of projects but you cannot just give it away infinite times, they would go out of business...
The work I plan to do is simply the use of License free fonts and create graphics and list them on my website to have people download them for free.
