I've been researching for a 3 or 4 letter domain but it seems all have been taken by we never know who.

yes, deleted ones come up often. also there are many domain extensions now and more appearing all the time so you're bound to be able to get one.

What TLD are you asking about?

If about .com than yes they are all taken.

Probably in other TLD's (.info, .biz, .us, etc.), you can find some that are available. You only need to do some work and check it. :)

People are so very much crazy for 3-4 letter domain names... that you would already have many people waiting to pounce on it... as soon as they notice any of them nearing expiry and wait with abated breadth to see it dropped! :(

You can only try your luck for them with any of the newly introduced tld.

    Regards,

Where can we look for for deleted domains? Can we really own these deleted domains if we purchase them? What if the original owner will pay even after registration due?

Absolutely not! There are heaps of 3 & 4 letter in ccTLDs & other extentions besides .com but it would most likely be a waste of money IMO

    - Yes , You can own deleted domains ( = if the domains not renewed will be deleted as
a registered domain to be avilable again for registration )
    - You can search Pool , Godaddy , ... for deleted domains .
    - There alot of deleted 3 L .net & .org .
    - You may be able to " backorder " a deleted 3 L .com , but usually others will do the same
which means the domian will go for auction .

If there is any, it will be totally hard unless you cam commit enough time to monitor those domains. It is because not only you that will be the one whoa re interested on those domains. There are thousands/millions than want and can commit entire time to grab such domains.

So my question - Are you willing to make such amount of sacrifice?

When you do a backorder and you fail to grab the domain because someone has bid a higher price, will the domain registrar (like Godaddy) refund you for an unfulfilled backorder?
