I've been thinking this for awhile, and recently i just noticed something that confirms my suspision. This will probably turn out to be something that everyone knows already. Or maybe i'm totally wrong... Any input? I figure it must be atleast a day behind because i cut off my dp channel in my adsense account, but my only remaining channel had 5 less page impressions than that of my "total" page impressions for the day. For instance, Total-----------page impressions: 150 clicks: 4 Xbox channel---page impressions: 145 clicks: 4 Is it just that google is still getting impressions from my dp channel because it is a day off? If not, i have no other page that could be getting adsense impressions, and i will then be even more confused.
I use Adsense Tracker (a non-Google script), and the recent results align with the trends I see in the Google stat interface - although Google's results show up several hours later. They had some maintenance downtime for the AdSense account center over the weekend ... not sure if that could be a factor in what you're seeing. Anyone else see discrepancies?
if it helps anyone i cut off my dp channel yesterday. The more i think of it however, the LESS i think adsense is a day off now. This is because i moved my dp channel to another adsense account, and those results are showing. In fact, they showed YESTERDAY. Why does my account have more impressions on my total, than on my one and only channel, xbox. Not sure if this is important, but my xbox channel is a url channel set up for webpages.charter.net/tdiamond14/. No other pages exist higher than that directory.
I don't think that it is a day off. It seems like the less channels I use, the better results I get. I hate it when I can't find those magic aggregate clicks.
their somewhat real time. if they were a day behind it would seem the stats would update only once or twice a day. Also, I can confirm their semi real time because when we are working a lot on one of our sites you will see the impressions 1000+ above normal.
I find cliks are credited within 30 mins to an hour. On some days, when the updating is real sow, it can take a few hours.
Someone could have visited your site with a cached copy on their computer or visited the cached version of you site in the SEs.
i have been having the same problem, when i add up the total impression from the channels they are way more than the total google gives me and i am positive that i have no duplicated channels, my account seems to be updating very slowly.
