I plan to try hard to sell a mobile game I'm going to be creating. I'm considering doing a cpm ad network type deal and was thinking adbrite since i can chose the sites until I seen all the false click reports. Anyways what is an average CTR rate for cheap cpm networks? I'm looking to spend .15 or less for CPM ads with a CTR of 4% or better. Or CPC for less then .01 a click. Do you think getting ads from like adwords or paying more for cpm ads will pay off? The point of buying ads is to make more money but when I crunch the numbers (assuming I have a 1% conversion rate from visitors at a $3.50 profit) I wont be making much at all if anything possibly if I pay too much for ads.
You can't make money without spending it, so get use to the idea. That question cannot possibly be answered. It can range from one-quarter of a percent, to, maybe, maybe, five percent. It depends on the price of the product, the product itself, the look of the site.... There is way too much competition with Adwords. Why advertise in a spot with other advertisers' ads above and below yours? On top of that, they give you, what, 4 lines??? A tiny little ad. The whole thing is fucked up. Ad networks are a hell of a lot better than search engine ads. Advertisers, from the small guy all the way up to the major players make money through volume. We know we spend a lot in advertising, but we also know that we make a lot. It's all about volume. The more you advertise, the more money you make.
So do you think it's possible to make a return if I spend about .04 per click? I will make about 3.50 per sale for my game and I will have a GREAT landing page, so I assume I will have a 1% conversion rate (I hope)
